    City Kits and associated players

The first one is my favourite kit ever probably because it was around when I was young and we had the best City team I have ever seen (probably will ever see). So it makes me think of Tommy Hutch, Wallace and Fergie, Graham Oakey and Bobby McDonald. Wonderful players and a wonderful team. The...

He also said when he left that at some stage the owners are going to have to put money into the club if they want to succeeed. Even Fisher himself said our budget wasn't high for this league.

I have a season ticket, go to a fair few away games and I have never read anything on here where I felt someone on here was having a go at me for supporting my club. I've got no problem with any City fan going to support the team at Wembley. The more the merrier as far as I am concerned.

Some games were all ticket. The quarter final game against Wolves was so fairly accurate away attendance figures were available.

That was the official attendance wasn't it. The amount inside the ground was more than that though as some of the gates were burst open by those stuck outside and apparently hundreds (thousands?) more got in for free. Not sure why other attendances where the gates remained intact would not be...

I was an Alvis apprentice too, 1973 to 1977. Then worked in Plant Layout for two years. Probably a bit older than you as I think I had finished my apprenticeship by the time of this game. When were you an apprentice there? There was also a young guy there on crutches swinging them around his...

I think that was pre Avramovitch and even though Chelsea had got to the Cup Final the gate was about 8k. Now they are one of the "big" Europeon clubs but only on the back of money. Just shows there is still hope for us if someone can come in and get things right.

Just about to say the same thing. At one stage he was being hailed as the new Bobby Moore. I think it was Richards who really did him for pace for their first goal. The real BM had little pace too but presumably made up for this in ways which our Bobby couldn't.

Remember that game too. I think we had 17k. Really disappointing performance too. We had Stein and Alderson up front they had Dougan and Richards. I really thought we were going to Wembley that year as we had a team playing well and full of goals. Never got going in that game, lost 2-0.

Just had a look and found the book. This is Ian Wallace just after he scored the first goal. Possibly Emlyn Hughes behind him. City fans in the background. Sorry it is the wrong way up. I can't see how to rotate it. Looked this game up in the book. Attendance of 33k at Anfield for the first...

I was at that game at Anfield. We did have a massive following that night of over 10k I think it was. It was a great game too with Wallace giving us the lead (the picture of him turning away with his clenched hand in the air as the ball rolls back out of the net was the cover picture on a book...

Keep an eye on results tonight

The chance to play Thomas(K) up front with Beavon with Yakoubo coming off the bench does give us more goal threat. I thought Vernam looked good in his brief spell up front at Northampton. Is that enough to allow us to double our points total? It is still hard to see it happening but not...

I had problems logging on to the CCFC ticket site. Phoned them up and all I was doing wrong was adding the letter "C" at the start of the supporters number from the ST card. Leaving that off it worked fine. However, when we eventually logged on the only seats available were in the upper tier (if...

We were going to book category 3 or 4 seats for 5 of us.Only odd ones left now. We are currently waiting for last seats on block 551 to sell out so we can buy the front seats in 550. At this rate there won't be many seats left after season ticket holders get their's. There should be easily over...
