When Werder Bremen come to our place

After playing Sheffield Wednesday in a friendly in Austria (Bremen were cloggers at times, by all accounts), I happened across this post match interview with Danny Rohl; however it was the 'version' of 3 lions that was the main interest. Any linguists fancy a stab?! Perhaps we'll get a...

    Summer transfer window 2024

Remember Simms was devastating at times last season, playing on his own up front. Him with 2 out of 3 (Wright, Saka and EMC should be fun, with Tavares, new addition in the mix too - will be exciting, especially with Rudoni just behind them.

You ok mate? Have to catch up at a game in the near future. I'm going to the Werder Bremen game, so if you're there should be easier to find than at the league games!

As an aside, Sheff Wed played Werder Bremen today in 4 x 30 minute sessions. Apparently Wednesday weren't happy with Bremen's rough house tactics! Hope MR and co are aware/prepared. Don't want another Getafe.

'Kitch' or Kitchy, as I like to call him, is suspended for the Stoke game, so I think you could be right, so Bobby and Binksy it is. Kitchy could get there if Boaty can improve him, though.

Just rewatched the goals. First goal = free header - nobody marked the bloke. Wilson had little chance / no protection. Second goal - defenders have to deal with that - don't blame Wilson. If Dovin had been in goal. not sure it would have made much difference given that defending in front of him.

Oxford - should/must win Norwich home (I'd happily take a draw, depending on who we've got available) Stoke away - hoping for a win Bristol City away midweek (tough one)

Michael Rose badly injured ankle - leaves Stoke with 2 fit centre backs at the moment. Not only us that has injuries!!

    Injuries

Michael Rose picked up a bad ankle injury for Stoke (who now have just 2 fit centre halves, as the season approaches). Opening game against us - all clubs will have issues. Hopefully our injured players are not too serious. If we can pick up 6 points from our first 3 games, I won't be unhappy...

Some context to those goals - they both came within about 3 or 4 minutes of having brought about 8 players on, including the entire defence. Doesn't necessarily excuse them, but probably explains it a bit.
