Trump is my favourite comedian of the year already

Trump's playbook was basically taken from his lawyer Cohn when Trump and his father were facing criticism and legal proceedings years ago. Just attack whoever is accusing you. Never back down, never admit anything, never say sorry. Just attack. And sadly that does seem to be the way of the rich...

Because then they'd have to justify their position and on any logical, rational level they can't. So just shout and abuse until they go away. Not sure if the anger is because they realise they're talking bullshit and are angry that people notice and are willing to stand up to them, or whether...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

The fact that this is the case shows exactly where the problem is. There is far too much inequality and the government (and increasingly voluntary organisations) have to try in vain to sort out the mess this inevitably leads behind for the vast majority of society. If I have a massive banquet...

So keep inflation in check by effectively paying workers less. Which means they can't by as much stuff as before. So businesses either sell less or have to reduce prices (which admittedly would control inflation) to maintain the number of sales, both of which really hinder growth. Good plan!

If pay keeping up with inflation is unsustainable then you've got a failing country. That should be the minimum expectation, not be considered an over the top demand by unions.

Profit and cash are completely different. And they can still use their mark-up to do that reinvesting. If they're good enough then they'll make enough sales or a large enough mark-up to do so. If they don't, then maybe that businesses isn't worthy of further investment. And as I said I'd had a...

Don't bet on it though. Do you really think the Tories will undo public sector cuts made by Labour? If anything they'll get ramp it up even more, cos they'll be listen to the lunatic right for fear of people voting Farage. At the moment it seems the Tories are taking the Labour pre-election...

Yep. Considering the shit Clinton got for not using official e-mails for discussions way less important than this, including calls for her to be sent to prison, then surely this should be top of the agenda. Though somehow I bet they'll say it's all the journalists fault for not saying they had...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Why? They could have the equivalent of a PA so no tax paid on say first £100k of revenue and even after that you only need to increase prices by 1 or 2% to allow for the tax. Plus costs for both the business and authorities go down because it's far more simplified and you don't need to have a...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

If only there were measurable things to try and work out why this might be. Like levels of absenteeism due to illness or mental health, and then mark these against, I don't know, cuts to mental health services or real term cuts in health spending. And then how that snowballs as those left are...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

I think the tax threshold should be set at the average cost of mortgage/rent+energy/utilities+food. These should be the basics needed to survive and so you shouldn't pay income tax if you can't afford these, especially in a system whereby you will be paying some level of VAT on those...

And if the US invaded Greenland they would have no chance either, so I guess you'd be quite happy for that to happen so the US can get what it wants through aggression.

I knew that would be your response. To which the answer is it's someone's money isn't it? And they'll almost certainly be a taxpayer as well, so they are ultimately wasting taxpayers money then aren't they? Instead of these businesses wasting this money on their expenses which will ultimately...
