Do you want to discuss boring politics?

The UK could have retained a customs union and / or remained a member of the single market without being an EU member. Without going over tired old ground, the remain campaign disastrously went for a all or nothing approach and it got nowhere.

It is all affordable, it is only political will that says it isn't. Eurozone countries that do not have the power to issue their own currency manage to pay pensions twice the value of those in the UK.

Loved working in a shop TBF, would happily do a job like that without all the pretense, bullshit and obtusity of working in a 'professional' job, just it doesn't pay the mortgage. Sent from my Pixel 7 using Tapatalk

If it wasn't for much easier availability of credit, would people be much better off today? Worth remembering too that the fast fashion of today is only relatively recent Sent from my Pixel 7 using Tapatalk

This is just completely facile, Streeting has absolutely zero concept of reality:

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

It doesn't at all. As soon as the public sector spends money, either through paying somebody a salary, or paying a supplier, it is putting money into the private sector. That is an indisputable fact. If the government reduces the amount of money the public sector spends, it reduces money in the...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

How does shrinking the public sector grow the economy? You tell me as it is what you are suggesting will happen.

Match Thread Middlesbrough - Coventry City Match Thread - Saturday 2nd Nov

TBF, Bidwell makes even less tackles per game, which I think is as much the nature of the game these days as it is an individual player.

Government spending money on public services = government spending money into the private sector, i.e. the pie. The pie does not increase by any other means other than banks creating credit, which of course has to be repaid.

Based on the info I've input: You will be £1,319.50 better off Albeit, that's the full year effect of something we're already part way through, so slightly misleading really as it's not a result of this budget as such.

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

I mean this is just nonsense, people don't avoid bettering themselves because they think they're going to be taxed on it. Come off it ffs.

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

You are keeping up a general myth. I am pretty sure you've posted about it before. Anyway, even if the Labour government does try to redress the balance (which it won't), it's a good idea and it isn't at the cost of private sector pay in any event. Sent from my Pixel 7 using Tapatalk

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Why do you keep up this public v private nonsense? From the IFS Given in some parts of the country including Coventry, the public sector represent a significant chunk of the workforce, to who's benefit is their pay being cut in real terms? Certainly not the local economy aka the private...

Household disposable income grew 0.3% per year in the last parliament. According to OBR it is projected to grow at just 0.4% per year in this one. . What is Labour for? The lack of household spending power is catastrophic for a service economy like ours. Sent from my Pixel 7 using Tapatalk

Government talks about growth yet the forecasts are abysmal, allowing them to bake in austerity forever which continues the abysmal growth which bakes in austerity which continues.... Sent from my Pixel 7 using Tapatalk
