    Summer transfer window 2024

Contract to January window might be an option? (if he'd take it) Wouldn't bother if you can keep Sheaf fit between now and then (but you can't guarantee that)

Match Thread Watford (a) - Sat 14th Sept

Watford have won 3 of their 4 games, and created loads away at Sheff Utd? Why are they not in a great place atm?

Match Thread Watford (a) - Sat 14th Sept

Followed the Watford game v Sheff Utd, and that Chakvedatze seemed a real handful for them. Don't fancy us for this (anything will be a bonus imo), but without knowing much about Watford's squad, perhaps a few of them may be away on international duty? Take a point all day long, but a...

I was sat on a bench at the station, as he was getting pelters (albeit only from a handful)

    Can we stop

I was in Cirencester (so had to miss it) Only bonus was seeing a jogger out wearing a City top, plus whist having a meal and a beer, Also got landed with some gobby loadsamoney cockney families. Their kids were looking up their fixtures 'Qarabag'I heard, and I thought - bet they're bloody Spurs...

    Rudoni …?

Yep - easy to go back and find threads where many were slating both Hamer and Vik. It just shows that a lot of us who get the knives out for players (especially in the first 6 months or so of their time with us) are not very good judges of footballers (and yet few on here would admit to it)...

    league cup draw

Big crowd, make a few quid. Nothing wrong with that draw imo. Better than Stoke away.

    league cup draw

From a £££s point of view, it means the likes of Barrow, Wycombe and Wimbledon are more likely to draw a big 'un. Similar for us too - not sure what I want, really? Home to Barrow, then play the winner of Wycombe v Wimbledon 🙏

Use of 'on' or 'at' as prepositions of time

Why do people say 'pacific' instead of 'specific'. Drives me mad when I hear it.

    Championship thread 24/25!

I think they'll turn it around. One problem for them is their fans can be brutal, so if they turn on their own players, it's not an easy place to perform. Still think they'll be fine.

Which would make it north of 26k at the moment - plus late purchases - hardly poor.

Match Thread Oxford United (H) [LC] 27 Aug 7:45pm KO

10k would be a good crowd - have a look at attendances from 'big' clubs in the last round (only Leeds with an outstanding attendance bucked the 'norm')

    Birmingham Airport

Out of curiosity. Has anybody flown out of the airport recently - my son is flying to Alicante on Wednesday (about 7.15am) and I was just wondering how bad the queues were at the moment (think him and his mates are meeting there about 5am). Any advice much appreciated from the ever helpful SBA .
