Match Thread Queens Park Rangers - Coventry City Match Thread - Tuesday 22nd Oct

No, I don't see it that way. A draw and then us beating Luton would be a very good return. I think that may well be how it pans out. Can see us getting 4 points out of the two games.

    Time's Up

Thing is, some of the things people have criticised Robins over right now, are the same things they have always criticised him over. He's not perfect obviously and has weaknesses. It's always been labelled at him that he sometimes sets things up wrong, that he doesn't make substitutions early...

    Such fine margins isn't it.

Maybe there is something in what Saddle was saying, which was that some of the current crop were not happy about the newer signings and the wages they were on. Hard to know for sure, but some aren't busting a gut are they. I don't see how you can blame Robins for that. Unless of course they...

    Time's Up

I don't think you do keep picking the same 11 if they aren't putting in the required level of performance. If someone isn't putting the right amount of effort, it's right and propper to use the option of relegating them to the bench.

    Exactly. They really were.

    Time's Up

Yeah and though those ARE the facts, we all know that we were left with nothing to play for late on in the season and had been pushed out the promotion race. At that point there was very little to play for. That can make a hell of a difference.

    Time's Up

I think he does know his best 11. Trouble is, so many of them keep coming in and underperforming. I know many make the point of Robins constantly chopping and changing the side, but on many, many occasions, we have had to change things because of players underperforming. I'm sure an on form...

    Recruitment has been shocking

How do we know we didn't? It's not always broadcast and many times you don't find out for a long time after, if at all. And how many others were after Hamer and Gyokeres?

    Chris hoy bad news

Yeah, I was sad when Coldplay died too.

    Rudoni …?

He's not been bad. Just anonymous for huge portions of games.

A decent midfielder in, in January, to fill the gap, could make a huge difference

We will be if we carry on like this. I don't believe we will and will change it round.

Key word there is currently isn't it We know that many of the players we have are better than they have shown so far.
  16. Otis

    Rudoni …?

Yup. Even though Eccles and Sheaf didn't have good games yesterday, you still noticed them and saw they were constantly involved in our play. Hardly noticed Rudoni was even on the pitch

Robins talking about fans being angry

Yeah, fair point and I agree.

Robins talking about fans being angry

Exactly. Some can just carry on like nothing has happened and others can just crumble. We are all different and all react differently to grief and death etc. My mum died and I just carried on (we were very, very close). My missus (now my ex), when her mum died, she didn't stop crying for 3 months.

Based on Wright and Simms' and BTA's goal stats last season, that Sheaf isn't quite back to his best yet and down to Robins being such a brilliant manager for us I think we will be well clear of any trouble.

    Respect for Latibeudiere

Have we ever tried a back two pairing of Lati and Binks? Just wondering. Thomas' passing is dreadful and it just isn't working out with Kitching. Have we tried that combination at all?
