Safe standing will be the key tbh, as soon as that section of the south is standing they'll all want to be there

If we're in the top 6 all season then yes? Doubt it will be more than this year.

We were 17th in the table when we played blues. If DK has ambition then opening it to home fans is the move.

2500 can fit in half that. So we're only losing out on 500 tickets if they would bring 3000, and I'd bet on us to sell more than 500 there. If we were a solid top 6/challenging for autos it would be well worth it, would be near sold out every week.

    The Run In

It's impossible to say if it was the difference or not, maybe with another winger available we would've got better results from games like Bristol, Plymouth, West Brom, Cardiff etc. Robins has been forced into playing Palmer, MVE and Dasilva on the wing in various games which obviously isn't ideal.

The bottom line is we needed reinforcements in that area and failed to secure any. That's my point.

Of course he can. Between the switch to 433/4231 (Stoke H) and January we were in automatic promotion form. It was obvious we needed depth out wide. In that situation, if the funds are there (they were) you have to make it happen.

    Transfer targets

I'd ask for 20 and probably take 15 or higher. But worry it would essentially set us back another year.

How many teams are bringing 4500 away fans? If we're playing well we'll sell more tickets if they're home seats than if they're away. Yesterday there were almost 27,000 home fans for a game against a fairly unglamorous opponent.

    Probably just over-glamourising other teams

I bloody hope you're right. Saka returning and EMC should give us more to break down defences.

Not ideal but plenty of clubs do it and manage it. Season ticket holders just get moved. As long as we don't sell more than 22,000 STs it shouldn't be a problem. Safe standing consultation is still ongoing?

On balance I wouldn't even be too unhappy with that, as long as he's prepared to make aggressive subs.

for the 100th time they are planning to sell STs there next year https://www.ccfc.co.uk/news/2024/march/news-sky-blues-fans-to-be-in-south-stand-for-all-remaining-home-games/

They've already said they aim to sell STs there, if they do they will only be closing it for cup games where we're obliged to give a bigger allocation. Agreed about the atmosphere area. Market it that way from the start. Maybe even make it 16+ or something to dissuade families from buying there.

Genuinely think he might do something like Dasilva at left mid to play a 451 (Torp/Eccles/Sheaf) midfield. Or even Eccles wide right, O'Hare in the middle.

Tense games like Leicester do, high stakes but we’re not necessarily expecting to win. Tense games like Cardiff or Bristol don’t. It goes back to expectations- Rotherham everyone expected us to win comfortably. So met expectations, nothing more. Leicester you couldn’t really expect us to win...

They're the melts that love to complain about the atmosphere though. So they'll only have themselves to blame. It's bordering on tinpot but the club should designate it as the singing section or something to get the message across.

    The Run In

It just doesn't make sense though? Our only backups for Wright/Saka in the wide positions were a shoehorned in Palmer and Tavares. We needed a winger and didn't get one. Transfers often break down, they should've had a backup (or just signed someone else too, a loan if needs be).
