Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Well, firstly their last manifesto, which stated they wouldn't be limiting immigration for certain sectors like the NHS and social care, which makes up a large amount of immigration. Secondly, they would fail because even if they did start deporting people the issues that people face aren't...

    Womens football

But are we suggesting DNA tests for everyone? Are you saying that at your walking football people should be forced to do these tests before being allowed to play? Seems like a huge cost for what is effectively a kickaround.

I'd say a big part of that is having an economy where most people are struggling to get by even though both partners are working (often long hours) and can't afford to buy a house will there being very few social houses available so you're at the mercy of a profit driven private sector. If...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

But when you have developed a system over generations telling people there is no society and the only important thing is money and possessions is it hardly surprising they don't want to do low paid, menial and often physically and emotionally demanding jobs. We're also telling kids to become...

    Sunderland AFC

Well that is a bit negative because you've said you've been relegated 9 times since 1977. How many times promoted though? Otherwise you'd currently be in some pub league somewhere.

Match Thread Coventry v Sunderland Championship Playoff 1st Leg Friday 9th May

Just got this horrible feeling that Sunderland being out of form they may just sit with a low block for the first leg, and we know we're absolutely shit at breaking that down.

I think Brits also need to accept they themselves have been part of the problem. Much of the social housing was sold off decades ago, but when those people have died/gone into care and the house gone on the market how many of the families of those people have cared about who that house got sold...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

As I said above, Reform would likely be no different. Their last manifesto pretty much said as much. And if they did take any action none of it would be effective as they'd go for the easy targets, not the complex root causes.

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Trouble with that is that you tend to find those places end up being very very deprived and full of problems. Hence why they try and mix the social and owned houses so there is (in theory) more self regulation.

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

In an ideal situation yes, but the fact is if we did that then you're going to see the NHS collapse under the pressure and old and vulnerable people are going to not have the care and dignity they deserve because there will be nowhere near enough staff to care for them (there already isn't)...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Most housing developments only have a small number of social housing so if they're being completely filled with migrants then most of them will be buying those houses (or private renting).

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Is that all social housing? I can envisage a system which could (purposefully or accidentally) favour migrants because of the way it prioritises. Also, what are they like in terms of the community? Are they quiet, courteous or loud and troublemaking? I know a fair few native families in social...

I don't think many people think Farage isn't savvy. By saying he's a charlatan and snake oil salesman it's kind of implying he has the intelligence to pander to a crowd and get the image right even though his background is massively removed from "one of us". He's admitted he's not overly fussed...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Yeah but the left don't want to debate the issue.... What always happens is that "the left aren't listening!" so the left say they accept there are issues around immigration and it can put pressure on public services etc., but the issues are far more complex than "it's all because of the...

Not getting a head of ourselves ….

I was thinking we'd be making up numbers in the play offs and wasn't excited about them. But getting up to 5th and facing Sunderland instead I'm starting to feel more confident. But the biggest thing that has got me thinking it's our time is Clive leaving. He took over immediately after...
