Don't agree on the poor first half. Quite enjoyed it. We look decent in possession and Meyler and Westbrooke have impressed me. Bright is great on the ball as well. I do agree that Hiwula has not featured so much - would like to see AB on and Bright much further forward.

I guess that’s a worthy attempt at combining banter and politics Grends but predictably for you a complete fail on all counts. I do agree though with your new stated view that Max is a great striker. Well done for seeing the light

I'm the anti-Grendel as well - in that I love Max. So agreed big mistake on my part.

It's amazing how quickly things change. After the summer signings, we might have predicted a line-up this season along the following lines: Burge Sterling Willis Davies Brown Ogogo Doyle Bayliss Jones AB Andreu Bench: super sub Allassani etc. With Brown, Ogogo, Jones and Andreu as the key...

How we miss someone like this

I heard the interview differently i.e. great player but really disrupted the dressing room and was basically unmanageable. JS seemed to basically regret the signing from the viewpoint of the disruption caused to the team.

Burge - 6, need to watch the goals again but didn't seem to be at fault Grimmer - 6, not sure why everyone is so keen to write Jack off, didn't look out of place to me. Davies - 6 Hyam - 6 Mason - 6, crosses not the best today but looked ok defensively. Always looking to overlap. Bayliss - 6...

Looks like someone's been on the pop already. There's absolutely no need for such an aggressive tone. Totally uncalled for. Typical tough guy hiding behind a keyboard....

Agreed. Admittedly just on one appearance but it looks to me as if Bright is very much another square peg on the left. Happy to be proven wrong!

    January Window

The most glaring issue with the team as of now is the need for a left winger - the new injury to Jones was a serious blow for us this season. Since then we have tried to replace with square pegs in round holes. Hiwula as a best case example. Or alternatively used Shipley (also I think to...

How we miss someone like this

I agree with all of this. Regis and Speedie never quite worked. Add in the fact that Speedie for all his brilliance was very disruptive in the dressing room. From an interview I heard a few weeks back, I don't think that Sillett would have signed him in hindsight. Going to be a controversial...

Burge 6, due to Wimbledon's limitations not much to do. Sterling 6, I like watching him play. Offers an attacking dimension. Willis 7, looked assured Hyam 7, similarly decent (as always) McCallum 5, seemed nervous early on which was understandable, grew into the game. Thomas 7, always a threat...

    Sterling

Agreed Otis. To be honest though in those first few games Johnson hardly resembled a professional footballer. I personally have not seen a player transform so much in half a season. He’s a serious talent and destined for the higher leagues.

Agree with every word of this except that I really enjoyed the game - a much better performance overall. ee

    Strikers

It’s Christmas Grends. Throw away the shovel, relax for once, enjoy a few mince pies and please stop embarrassing yourself.

    Strikers

Interesting Grends. I think by the use of your own selective stats (goal scoring ratio for McNulty with Max in the team) that you conclude that Max was at least as good then as the other strike partners paired with McNulty. Quite an admission from you. Well done.

    Strikers

Another new first. You are now excluding our biggest games of the season i.e. the play offs to desperately support your argument against Max. It’s desperate Grends. Stop digging.
