Oxford losing 6-0 to Brighton. Right back gone off injured. Don't mess this up City (they will spend the first 10 minutes trying to kick us off the park)
I popped onto the Oxford forum (pre-Saturday check up) and their match thread (at home to Brighton tonight) has 3 (yes, three) posts on it. Don't want to call any fanbase tin pot, but that is odd.
He's clearly just rusty. We know he's a very good player.
Off piste and to give you all something to talk about. I played footie at the Higgs centre today, and on the othter pich City academy were playing Villa academy. There were 2 mass brawls that I was aware of, and (as yet to be confirmed)...
It's a sh&t cup. I hate losing, but in the wider context, I'd sooner have lost than got through but picked up an injury to a key player. Oxford was/is always 10 times as important.
As long as Thomas isn't injured ( not sure why subbed) then I'm happy to have looked better second half and avoided any injuries. Not fussed about losing ( as long as we turn up on Saturday.
Can anyone confirm whether pints/pies purchased inside the ground now go towards the club, and whether the outside bars and burger kiosks are now part of our income streams?
Probably been covered before, but hasn't it been said the Bassette swore (presumably in a petulant manner) at Lampard, which is the cause of the fallout. Lampard showing his inner Clough?!
Slightly off at a tangent, but I notice that Oxford are at home to Brighton tomorrow night, which gives us an extra 24 hours rest and planning over them for the weekend. Every little helps !
Matty Grmes, ah ha, ah ha,
I like it.....
( I didn't realise they were singing Matty Grimes, so defaulted to the original - like many others)
Will get it right, next time !!
