They think it's all over ?

I just dont see how a new CCFC would work, we would have to start so low down the leagues that it would take decade just to get to decent non-league level, sustaining fan interest over that time would be very difficult. Thats why I think it would be better to support the Sphinx, at least they...

Favourite and least favourite away ground

Favourite is Spotland, mostly just because of my soft spot for Rochdale but also because is has terracing in the Sandy Lane end. great atmosphere about the place and excellent pies! Most hated would have to be Deepdale, don't really know why, just loathe the place.

Your Favourite player who was actually shite

Had forgotten all about him, was that in that same raft of signings when he bought in the likes of Andy Impey and Paul Watson?

    CCFC announcement on new stadium

Someone would buy the Ricoh, even if they ended up demolishing the stadium and building something else the land still has value. As already mentioned I think they would just look to put a roof on it and make it a full time conference and concert venue.

    CCFC announcement on new stadium

This is precisely why SISU will never go ahead with their mooted plan. Match day revenues are not enough to sustain a club of our size under FFP rules. You need the concerts, conferences, exhibitions etc as well to stand any chance of balancing the books. The Ricoh would still be the preferred...

    CCFC announcement on new stadium

It buys them time though. If we agreed to rent the Ricoh for the next 3 years instead of going to sixfields then that's 3 years worth of income in ACL's pocket, which is partly owned by the taxpayer don't forget so they have a duty to get the maximum return possible for those who foot the bill...

    CCFC announcement on new stadium

Wasn't there someone on here not so long ago who worked/was involved in Nene Park and claimed that SISU were paying the leccy bill on the empty stadium? I'm certain i read that unless im going bonkers (entirely possible). I think its safe to say they have their dirty little fingers in lots of...

    CCFC announcement on new stadium

I doubt Northampton would have announced the arrangement on their website if nothing had been signed. If they did then they are very very stupid people. That said, we have no idea of what clauses are in that deal, it may be that a specific "Ricoh-return" get out clause is in there. Perhaps SISU...

Your Favourite player who was actually shite

He was possibly more than a bit fucked off by the club trying to use him as a makeweight in the failed attempt to sign John Hartson.

Your Favourite player who was actually shite

Always liked Rousell and Delorge too, both did reasonably well when playing in mainland Europe, it seems to have just been English football that didnt suit them.

    Don't get Hoodwinked!

The Ricoh belongs to the tax payers, as in the bricks and mortar, but ACL doesnt.

    Don't get Hoodwinked!

I dont believe they will reach agreement, SISU would only agree to go back to the Ricoh if they can take over ACL completely and I dont think the council or higgs would allow that now after everything thats gone on.

Secret meeting fa chairman, sisu/otium, acl on thursday

I wouldn't call it unprofessional exactly but it does strike me as odd that a man in his position is so active on this forum. I'm not saying that's a bad thing necessarily its just surprising.

Telegraph says we have bought the Brandon speedway site.

The old pug factory site at Ryton would be no better. A large chunk of it has been built on now and another big section is being used for storage. There would still be space for a stadium and a small car park on the existing land but the access is little better than Brandon, although there would...

    Fleetwood Town match

Craig Reid looks like he might be a decent acquisition. Given our current lack of centre backs he is probably as good a standard as we could reasonably hope to sign. Manset is prob worth a punt on a one year deal, as already stated previous scoring record is not the be all and end all. So long...

    A Deal Is Simple Really

Once SISU get their hands on the Ricoh and unite it with the club we then, finally, become a salable asset. I believe that has been the game plan all along, get their hands on the Ricoh cheaply and then sell stadium and club on for a profit. I would personally support the sale of the stadium to...

    Mathieu Manset

Pre-contract agreements mean nothing, not worth the paper they are written on. I suspect he will shortly sign for someone else and fishface/waggy dog/Elvis will come out with the usual diatribe of "we did everything we could to secure him" "its the FL's fault" "if ACL hadnt forced us into admin...
