    Sakamoto Injury

Agreed. This thread really pissed me off, probably more than anything I’ve ever read on here. It was all rumour and needless speculation by people with no knowledge. None of us knew what the extent of the injury was, but the fact that the medics let Tats sit up on the pitch implied that it...

Match Thread Coventry City - Maidstone United [FA] Match Thread - Monday 26th Feb

I think it was “lights” but whatever it was, it was needed! As someone said on Friday, a sniper would be useful if they do it again. Morons.

    Reality check

Why do you want “one of the big boys” away? Madness. Anyone at home for me, the smaller the better. The big boys will come eventually if we do well.

The WBA game had already been moved to Friday before we got through to the 5th round.

    Sakamoto Injury

Rubbish, he just floated it to Tats, no way was he trying to hit the space behind him. I’m not blaming Wilson for the injury, that was completely on the Preston player. I’m asking why is Wilson using that tactic, it was doomed to fail and we’re going to lose the ball every time.

    Sakamoto Injury

It was fair according to the referee. Do you think pumping it to Tats in the air is a good tactic?

    Sakamoto Injury

Yes, that worked out well didn’t it? He only won it because the guy didn’t jump for it. They gained possession and we’ve lost a valuable player for the season.

    Sakamoto Injury

Agreed, but if he’s going to go long, go long to Simms. Trying to hit Tats out on the wing with an aerial ball was just daft.

Got to wonder why Wilson thought it was a good idea to ping a ball in the air to Tats with a defender near him. Not exactly good odds of him winning it.

If we haven’t got faith in our ability to beat these then there’s no hope for us!

Match Thread Coventry City - Maidstone United [FA] Match Thread - Monday 26th Feb

Nonsense, why would we have liked a big team? This is the perfect draw to (hopefully) get to the 6th round.

But it couldn’t be played on Saturday as the 5th round is deliberately a midweek round to avoid disrupting the weekend games. Until they move it to Monday, obviously… As an aside, all last seasons’ 5th round games were on Tuesday/Wednesday, as they should be.

I haven’t seen them, but I doubt they were all self-inflicted.

Robins has to own that one

The BBC lineups are guesswork. I watched their game against Birmingham, he was clearly in a back 4 with Hyam.

Robins has to own that one

None of the goals were down to Wilson???? Who was planted on his line for the first one? Who should have controlled the third one by telling Thomas there was no danger? For the second, who should have told Dasilva to clear it, or dealt with it himself? It was in the 6 yard box ffs. His...

Robins has to own that one

On your point re Wilson, he was a major factor in all 3 goals. His inability to clear his lines for the first, no communication with Dasilva for the second, and no communication with Thomas for the third. All of them could have been prevented by positive goalkeeping. Clearly Dasilva & Thomas...

Agreed. Wilson only ever communicates on “City Unseen”. There’s zero communication with his defence, it was a big factor in all 3 goals.
