    Middlesbrough last game

The EFL/Sky deal is done. Signed. Sealed. Committed. Fixed. I’m not sure why that is so difficult to grasp. It isn’t going to change until 2029/2030 at the earliest.

So you think Sky, turning over tens of billions and part of one of the biggest corporations in the US, are going to collapse within the next 4 years? Right [emoji23].

    Such as?

No chance. Next season will be the same format as this season. The current 5 year TV deal runs out in 2028/2029 so no significant changes until after that.

    Middlesbrough last game

Ok, slight exaggeration, but it’s been a long time since the last Championship games of the season were at 3pm (certainly not since we’ve been back in the Championship).

    Middlesbrough last game

Why would you make travel plans for 3pm when the final game of the season hasn’t been at 3pm in living memory?

    Middlesbrough last game

I guess it’s just a marker, everyone knows (or should know) that it’s not going to be at that time. I have vague memories that some Championship final round games have been on Sundays or at 5pm Saturday. Might be getting confused with league one though.

    Middlesbrough last game

No, I was referring to every game other than the last day. Obviously on the last day all kick offs are at the same time (and never 3pm).

Sky will be trying to get as many of the promotion/relegation games as they can to 12:30 for Skysports+. So quite likely that some (or all) of our games against Hull, Burnley & Luton will be 12:30 or Friday evening.

It’s non-3pm for the last game every season, I’m not sure why this is a shock.

On Sundays? Very happy for you to give details if you think I’m wrong.

You don’t remember it that well, it was 4-1. Notable for an 11:30 Sunday morning kick-off, I don’t think we’ve had one of those since.

He didn’t make the bench last Saturday so that gives a clue.

Don’t worry, nobody is playing Leeds in the playoffs.

The ghost of O’Hare finally laid to rest?

Agreed, anyone who couldn’t see his value had not seen him play. He absolutely stood out against us on our last visit up there. Very clear he was a special player.

Interesting that people think we were flying at the end of the playoff season, but in reality we only won 5 of our last 12 games (and only won 3 of our last 8). We made the playoffs by only losing 1 of the last 12 while everyone around us screwed it up. It was good form but not spectacular.

Not a chance that Sheaf starts against Oxford after just 2 minutes against Preston. He’ll have at least one 20 minute game before Lampard thinks of starting him (he possibly starts against Stoke but more likely Derby). And Rodrigues wasn’t on the bench on Saturday..

    The pitch

Because they don’t allow subs to warm-up where the assistant is, and the assistant is always on the left back part of the pitch. Logical really.

    The pitch

If only there was a good reason that the subs all warm up at that end…

    Pato

Did I say it was weird to say “Cov”? Each to their own, call it what you like, but it just wouldn’t occur to many of us who are over 50 to use that term.
