At the time Maatsen was expected to be out for longer than he eventually was & Shipley filled in well at LWB. Having been burned a little by the Tyler Walker deal with Godden immediately getting injured I can understand the hesitance.

JCS is class. Obviously injuries are a concern but would still be very interested in keeping him if possible.

Allen goes out to fill the gap left by Kane/Hyam & close down the crosser, no idea where Kelly was. A lot of good fortune for them too, JCS slips as he attempts to close it down & it's only nestled perfectly in the corner as a result of a mishit shot.
