It was weird that Leicester bought him but barely played him, he's better than that clown with the long hair

    BA flights grounded

Agree with you. The UK has for so many years decided to follow an approach of maximising profit through cost savings and outsourcing and it's all coming back to bite.

Match Thread Coventry City - Sheffield United Match Thread - Saturday 23rd Nov

Sheffield Utd are not a freescoring team, they've scored a goal less than we have. They are strong defensively though.

We did, we really should have beaten them comfortably and missed plenty of chances both home and away. One of the most gutting moments as a Cov fan to lose to them in that quarter.

https://www.theguardian.com/business/2024/nov/20/uk-inflation-rises-delay-interest-rate-cut-price-rises We're going to get energy price inflation + inflation from businesses looking to recover the costs of increased NI contributions. Who'd have thought austerity politics causes inflation.

    Frank Lampard Rumours

I wonder if the club is putting off the announcement so as not to distract from the weekend's match?

    Frank Lampard Rumours

Stop re-writing history, our form from November through to the end of February was P20, W10 , D6 , L4 = 1.9ppg which is solidly play off form if not borderline automatic procurement. Edit, adding in March it was P24, W13, D10, L5 = 2.01 ppg which is automatic promotion form. That's half a...

Right who's the next manager then?

Potter has never been promoted or even reached the play offs in this division. Brighton finished higher after he'd left! He won 12 games in the season they finished 9th with 51 points. Cov got more than that under Strachan in 1998. He's probably the most overrated manager in the game, pure vibes.

Provide better services first and make people feel more willing to pay for them. You can't put taxes up today on the promise of better services tomorrow.

Right who's the next manager then?

Robins has never got a team promoted from this division either, and that isn't the defining criteria that King is saying he's going to use anyway.

    Frank Lampard Rumours

No Chelsea has got a massive academy and a large first team squad. Why would Lampard (who was still a first team player back then) even know Viveash?

    Frank Lampard Rumours

Viveash looked after the Chelsea U18 team in the 3 years that coincided with Lampard still being at Chelsea, I doubt they know each other.

Do you trust Rachel Reeves plans in relation to local government pensions?

I think the downside to these arrangements are pension funds being ultimately behind e.g. the inflated property market

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Not usual for me but I agree with this completely. I said they'd backed themselves into a corner and here we are, they continue to do it.
