I just think you are being too unrealistic. The type of player you seem to demand is not in our price range. We may get lucky and find someone but most players we are after are also wanted by half the championship or above.

But imagine we get 2 injuries or just want to rest a player. We then have the options to do that

A guy who has 350 games at this level and 60 goal involvements yet you dont think he is good enough. We don't have the money for the players you think we should be getting.

That would be the same for most of the squad though. Id rather get there and worry later. I am not against the loan but id happily sign him permanently instead
