Biamou still has lots to offer

Problem with that Adge is that Paul Cook was waxing lyrical about Max's technique in trying to slot that away; I assume you would concede that ex-professionals have some idea as to what they are talking about?

Biamou still has lots to offer

A complete no mark with far too much time on his hands belittling the record a professional player to try and score some internet points. As for your sneering 'some of us are bemused' comment, judging by the majority of comments on sky blues talk you are absolutely in the minority. Far more...

    Grendel player opinions

I think that's a fair point Platt. It certainly looks like it was the wrong decision to play Rose when in my eyes he wasn't match fit. I'm just trying to say that it's not helpful for some on the back of one game to say that Rose isn't up to this level or that Robins should go.

    Grendel player opinions

There was a call for patience at the start of the season; with most viewing a lower third finish (anything above 22nd) as a very decent achievement. 7 games in there are of course concerns but this is basically a young team finding it's way in a very difficult division. It's a big step up...

    Michael Rose

Delighted about a City player being sent off - you need to take a long hard look at yourself son.

    First 6 games

Agree with much of the above. We need to keep to our beliefs and our style of play which is possession based. 2 upfront vs. Brentford was a disaster and starved us of possession in midfield; that just invited constant pressure. Kelly was being written off by some as not being able to make...

    Players ratings v Brentford

Fair ratings from Steve in the opening post. I would perhaps have marked O'Hare a little higher; always looked dynamic on the ball to me. To be fair to Pask I don't see him as a RWB; he's only playing there due to the DaCosta injury. Agree with others on McCallum he looked different class...

    Match Thread Brentford Match Thread

I like Pask but he's not a RWB; just unfortunate that Dacosta is injured as the back up for Dabo. Not entirely sure what role AB is playing but I'd swap AB with Kelly at half time to gain some more control of midfield and possession. McFadz immense as others have said. O'Hare looking decent...

    Max news incoming

Without Max and the goals in the closing stages of the L2 season, we simply wouldn't have been promoted - and that could have been a real disaster - just look at Notts County today. And Max certainly didn't look out of place in L1 after he was over a very serious injury. He's always stepped...

Just had a strange phone call

Agreed. It's ludicrous. And who the f...k cares about what Grendel thinks anyway - it beggars belief that anyone thinks he has anything constructive to say on the management or the team.

Just had a strange phone call

Honestly I think you have me confused with someone else and I have no idea as to what you are trying to say. Most of the time I violently disagree with your total nonsense but vaguely understand you are a narcissist looking for attention from behind a keyboard - so these days I just mostly...

Just had a strange phone call

Jesus Christ. I'm actually lost for words. As others have said let's get behind our fantastic manager and our young team learning the ropes in this league.

Kenny Hibbitt 1974 League Cup final Wolves. Quite proud of the obscurity of that one!

    Wembley goals

We've scored some really spectacular goals at Wembley come to think of it. Houch (obviously an all time classic and one of the greatest FA Cup goals), Thomas (what a strike), Willis (similar). My all time favourite is actually Grimmer's beauty. Went absolutely mental. Shortly followed by...

    Little bits of history.

Text a sub Orange Ken in the dugout 'Sky Blue Sam is obese' 'He's a fucking elephant Onye' Peter 'Instant Success' Reid Taxi for Robins (3 months later, 5 points clear with a game in hand) Let's play Pask and Dabo in midfield :D

    Players that caught the eye

I'd see Bayliss playing more in the Allen/Shipley AM position, and playing a key role in transitioning our play and running at defenders. He's a class player and was unlucky with injuries last year. I'd certainly have Bayliss back. And I've always loved a maverick and a luxury player, clearly...

    Match Thread Barnsley Match Thread

As a team that has just been promoted and finding our feet in this Division (which is a huge step up), it beats me as to why some on here are taking the time out to 'talk down Barnsley' or our former players playing there. We haven't earned the right to do that in any sense (nowhere even...

Doing Transfers Differently - Sky Sports article with Chris Badlan

Exactly. Best demonstrated by the Jim Smith debacle. And then Adams panic purchase of Kevin Kyle for a very inflated price - a player who simply did not fit our team and was not scouted properly. I actually have a lot of sympathy for KK as it was hardly his fault that he was a panic purchase...

    Shankland

SBT logic. Let's go back to a system that didn't work for us in L1 and throw away a system that has been incredibly successful. Before too long someone will be suggesting Dabo as DM and Giles as inside forward......oh hold on.....
