What about Alan Browne from Sunderland? Their midfield is looking very strong now and his game time will be limited. Currently injured (expected back end of month), someone we should have signed in the summer, wouldn't see the best of him until next season but if we can get a jump on the others...

I wanted to take the risk even if Hamer wouldn't sign a contract. Could have had one solid shot at promotion, Hamer feeding balls through for Simms and Wright. We'd have comfortably made the play offs at the bare minimum.
