Ifollow fucking up again. How we doing?

‘Team of Gary Breens’ has been a staple Nursery Rhyme for my kids. If I read that correctly @Sky Blue Pete you came up with it, I owe you one. Got me through many a kids ‘sing along’!

I think I agreed with your spurs mate. Prior to Dublin we also had Speedie (‘Speed-O, Speed-O) and Gallacher (“oh Kevin Kevin, Kevin Kevin Kevin, Gallagher”). Rubbish.

As an aside, my family are well and truly bored of me singing “we’ve got a big Swede on our side…” around the place. Fuck ‘em. That ain’t gonna stop me. I used to like us chanting ‘Seeee-Rollll! Seeee-Roll’ at Cyrille when he scored.

I only heard it at one game (I think) but also… ‘Ale, Ale We Want more Ale, Everybody’s Cheerin’ Killer Get the Beers in’.

There’s a few Tbf. 0-0 vs Arsenal at Highbury sticks in my mind today. We got absolutely battered and defended fantastically. Ian Wright breaking Oggy’s nose for the 43rd time just infront of us. Left that game thinking Dion would be converted to centre half, at some point for us.

I have a vague recollection of being in the west terrace and a couple of the women who worked in the bar (or somewhere) would walk along the side of the pitch, behind the goal. every match with about 10 mins to go. they’d get a load of ‘good humoured’ abuse…”who ate all the pies” etc without...

I thought that was the other way round?

I saw these lads in Bristol last week. They were good.

I might be seeing him again quite soon. I’ll be interested to see how his materiel changed…especially the songs.

And generally better players. Which is why I think we’ll fall short.

I seem to remember them being tipped for relegation by many at the start of last season. To coin a phrase, it’s a funny old game…

He didn’t disappoint. Really good. Second half was a lot of audience interaction/songs. Which was really clever and hilarious.

A quick check of wiki (I know) suggests that he was very good for PAOK and that ‘boro paid £2.75mil for him. Probably better than many seem to think. Having said that, I think Vik is the best player in this league. I’d love to see him playing for us in the Prem.

I had the Huddersfield commentary on ifollow for the first 20 mins or so…and that was pretty much their assessment of things ie “we look comfortable”/saying how ordinary we look. I thought at the time, “I dunno what game they’re watching”.

He looked decent, without doing anything spectacular. Certainly didn’t look out of place and will only get better. All very promising.
