    Blackburn Away tickets

I believe we had a very big support there in the cup in 1980. Blackburn were only a Division 3 side then, while the week before our young team had beaten the mighty Liverpool, so optimism was high amongst our support. Typically we lost 1-0..

    Hypothetically

I agree we got a good deal on him, but your 2nd line is ridiculous. We don't know his limits, and given its not long since he came from non league he has huge scope for improvement. If the likes of Jack Cork, Jack Stephens and Ollie Norwood can make it to the top flight I don't see why...

    Genuinely nice lad too

    Hypothetically

As its only hypothetical I would say no, we would be better hanging onto the end of the season and selling then if we had to. In the real world we would probably sell.

    Cup Run Anyone?

Correct. In retrospect I should have ignored your irrelevant post 🙄

    JCH

If its the incident I'm thinking of I thought McFadzean caught him, albeit accidentally. JH seemed to be nursing a fat lip afterwards.

    Fulham at home on Sky

To be fair they have not yet played at the Arena, or bar one early round league cup game in the 80's haven't played a game in Cov since the 60's. It will be a new ground for them just as Craven cottage will be to most of our fans, which is likely to prove a draw to many.

    Cup Run Anyone?

In terms of the FA Cup we should always go for it as best we can, otherwise we are disrespecting our own history. Haven't been overly concerned by League Cup for a long time however, which has little upside to it until you reach the semi finals. I don't buy into the argument that an FA Cup run...

    THIS Gyokeres...

We should be eternally grateful that CCFC84 didn't get his way, or we would have been watching Gnanduillet or Glen Murray instead!

Can't quite remember the chronology either, but I don't think any political party has an idealogical stranglehold on this issue.

It is always going to be problematic and unrealistic to expect bookmakers to police and control problem gamblers, given they are profit led organisations. The answer I guess would be as in some other countries for gambling to be state regulated, but non profit making, so that the gambling...

I understand this is personal to you and I don't mean to sound unsympathetic, but not everyone that gambles is out of control. That said I've never understood why the gambling industry hasn't faced the same advertising restrictions as alcohol and tobacco companies have had to deal with.

    Derby points deduction

Not sure how many deductions they had but sure Luton were docked something like 24 points the season they fell out of the league.

    Bright and Robins

I guess he's trying to be ironic, but isn't he the twat who upset Jodi Jones last year, and then came on here to try to plug his podcast?

    Anti-SISU

For me NOPM was only a valid standpoint when we were in Northampton, and of course many did stay away during that time. Once back in Cov, regardless of owners, NOPM ceased to have any validity though. Most of the lapsed supporters I knew at that time had got out of the habit of going to games...

    RIP Jimmy Greaves

Despite his predictions in 87 it seemed like he wanted us to beat Spurs, which was really something given his playing career there. I hope there is some recognition by our club on Friday, but even if not I think it would be great if we get ahead against Peterborough and the fans start chanting...

    Joy Seppala at Warwick University

I agree with much of that. His judgement has been undeniably poor, which is rather strange given his background in the finance industry. Many owner/ fans seem to leave their brains in their trousers and Hoffman had that vibe about him in respect of his chosen associates. I won't criticise him...

    Joy Seppala at Warwick University

What exactly are those previous dealings though? He was part of the SISU set up initially and saw from within the workings of the club, which he wasn't happy with and left. Whilst things have turned round for the club in recent years it's hard to argue that the move to Northampton and drop to...
