i'd say this is more likely to mean he has a deal to stay on as a consultant for a year rather than anything else.

The fact that Thorn has never managed or coached before yet by all accounts Rioch is one of the best people at academy level in the country. If you ask me thats whats wrong with football in this country..........people who do the hard work and learn their job of coaching/managing tend to get...

I can't but help but feel our best 2 coaches Rioch & Carsley should be with the first team rather than the youth. I Reckon Rioch knows more about coaching than anyone at the club and could do a great job given a chance with the first team.

As we haven't got as 1st team match i'm thinking of going to watch the academy v villa on saturday up alan higgs. has anyone been to watch a match there before..easy to access allowed to watch etc?

part the reason the diamond doesn't work is the amount of ground the 2 full backs and the 2 players in the middle of the diamond have to cover..............they have to cover so much ground when we haven't got the ball that when we do get it they are too knackered to make runs forward
