Match Thread Coventry City - Plymouth Argyle Match Thread - Thursday 26th Dec

Thomas was so lackadaisical at Plymouth I feel a bit like going nuclear and dropping him for Lati as well as Binks for Kitching.

    Transfer Rumour Dion Sanderson

I thought he looked pretty good, I remember him being discussed on here while he was still at Wolves.

    The Barnsley crew

Frankly I think we could do with a centre half who thinks he's hard rather than the clown show we've got playing currently. He can't be that bad a lad as McFadz is mates with him.

Whatever you think of his decision making, saying something as easy to objectively disprove such as this is really amateurish

We need to build a team around these players

It's because it takes us too long at times to move the ball forward, and that starts from the centre backs. Thomas to his credit tries the odd pass between the lines. I think somebody remarked on the match thread that Torp or Sheaf weren't coming deep to collect the ball as they had been in...

We need to build a team around these players

He struggled yesterday with the aggression of Portsmouth, but then he wasn't the only one. We need greater intensity from everybody.

He has only looked like a footballer playing centrally and could be useful against a high line with space behind

He's going to get himself a reputation that will see him get even less decisions go his way as well, he's not very mature and like you say not ready to lead the line.

Match Thread Portsmouth FC - Coventry City Match Thread - Saturday 21st Dec

Obvious change would have been to just hook Torp for BTA and go two up front, they played such a high line and it wasn't even a solid line

Robbie Keane was 19 when he went around the keeper for two of his first three goals for us. That said, he'd probably played significantly more games than Bassette at that point.
