    Unusual Events

Mid 90s.... i'm pretty sure it was an xmas match, perhaps even boxing day. Also fairly sure it wasn't actually Pavarotti :D

    Unusual Events

The Wales game is the one i most specifically remember! Pretty sure i was sat in what was the Cov away end for that one (lower tier of Sky Blue Stand) towards the West End.... which was a bit of a novelty.

    Unusual Events

I did similar a while back.... heading to a pre-season away to Bristol Rovers, but the M5 and A46 were a right state, and it became apparent i couldn't make the kickoff. Diverted to Forest Green Rovers vs Wrexham.... where i watched Lee Hughes come on the pitch with about 10mins to go, then...

There were one or two England Schoolboy internationals in the early/mid 90s

    Unusual Events

Their fans were absolutely brilliant. Loudest i've ever heard at Highfield Rd. I remember they had a massive striker (Karsten Jancker) and he ko'd some poor woman in the East Stand doing shooting practice in the warmup....

    Running

Midlands Road Relays tomorrow at Sutton Park. One of the best races of the year. All the local teams have at least one men's team running, and all the local teams except ourselves and Nuneaton have women's teams present (which is a shame as Godiva and Nuneaton are two of the stronger women's...

    My favourite goal

The quality of the goal itself. The quality of the opposition. And similar to last weekend, the fact that a couple of minutes beforehand, we had been 2-1 down.

    My favourite goal

I think saturday was our best moment since leaving the Premier League in 2001, considerably over-topping Manchester United away in 2006/7. And its probably up there in my top three with the two below.... However my favourite city goals are always likely to remain Huckerby 97 and Moldavan vs...

FA Cup Thread: Examples Of Media Writing Us Off

Didn't we (as a fanbase) completely write off Maidstone United after they'd just knocked out a better team than us in the previous round? Are we now demanding everyone puts us on an even footing with Manchester United? Of course we're being written off.

    They're laughing at us already

They may well be "fragile" but tbf they've just beaten and put 4 past Liverpool who we widely accepted we'd have no chance against.

    FA Cup Semi Final Draw

Well, indeed, that is the point really... Clubs of our stature are now just playing to make the semi final now really.

    FA Cup Semi Final Draw

The issue with the semi's being at Wembley is it completely undermines the final. Say we beat Leicester/Chelsea/Man CIty/whoever in the semi at Wembley..... the final is a bit of an anti-climax after that. regardless of what happens.

    FA Cup Semi Final Draw

I understand that point.... but its probably no more or less realistic on paper than us beating Wolves. (on paper) Chelsea are a better side than Wolves (despite league position), and Leicester better than us.

    FA Cup Semi Final Draw

Am i the only one who wants Leicester? Obviously if we were to lose to them at Wembley it'd be pretty devastating.... but surely Leicester at Wembley is a dream game after all those years of shit.

Reading selling their training ground to Wycombe

It is if you're an idiot. Someone posted something the other day with a list of teams we played in league one a few years ago. They are now all in non-league, and it was more than a handful. We should possibly remember where we've been next time we're crying about getting Wolves away in the Fa...

Reading selling their training ground to Wycombe

Football fans in being arrogant shocker. We were pretty respectful of other sides during our woes.... decent season last year and every other word on here is "tinpot"

    Running

Absolutely grim training session with Godiva at the Univ Of Warwick track tonight in the wind and rain. 9 x 400mtr reps. Starting with 2mins rest, but rest period decreasing by 15 seconds each time (so between rep 8 & 9 there is only 15 seconds rest). First three reps with the longer rests...

    Leicester points deduction

I know some Forest die-hards. They don't like Leicester one bit tbf. But the real beef is obviously with Derby.
