Match Thread Coventry City - Bristol City FC Match Thread - Saturday 18th Jan

We've looked a bit more solid the past two games, even despite the defeat at Norwich, in his non preferred system

    Haaland

Haaland showing that he's got zero ambition, wouldn't be surprised if he's a spent force half way through that contract

    Transfer Rumour January transfer window

TBF if he's part of an unchanged team from the one that started last week, that's good and fair enough imo. If he's been shunted out to the wing in a changed set up less so.

    Transfer Rumour January transfer window

You'd be pretty pissed off at Scott Parker. Watching a brand of football that makes Sean Dyche look exciting and bringing back Ashley Barnes and trying to sign Latibeaudiere

    Transfer Rumour January transfer window

If there is concrete interest, you'd suspect the best commercial deal is now if not the best one for the team

    Transfer Rumour January transfer window

Probably because it made sense for that information to get out given probable other interest in him

    Transfer Rumour January transfer window

He's an enabler to sell MVE for a much bigger profit in any case

White socks are just appalling in any setting

    Things that annoy you

Awful. We lost a young cat years ago with something similar, just found him in the pathway outside our back gate.

The cost of "borrowing" is and the ground is being primed for more cuts in order to meet the fiscal rules. https://www.theguardian.com/society/2025/jan/13/keir-starmer-says-treasury-will-be-ruthless-on-public-spending-cuts

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Good. I'm sure you agree then that any prospective cuts to the welfare bill are unnecessary.

Can't believe the penalty taker has done exactly the same thing twice

    Championship thread 24/25!

Why oh why did we go to Burnley to sit off and let them have the ball, as soon as Sunderland have put them under pressure they've been rubbish

    Championship thread 24/25!

    Actually no

    Championship thread 24/25!

Indeed, as I said earlier it's quite depressing that they're going to be promoted again and back here in 18 months

    Championship thread 24/25!

I'm not disagreeing, we went there with the wrong mentality but we weren't easy to beat and lost because of goalkeeper errors for both goals. Sunderland have tried to take the game to them but created very little despite the superior quality attacking players they have.
