On Saturdays evidence he’s still the same player he was last season- technical ability in flashes but far too slow at times and has little presence in midfield. Improvement required.

Did you watch us last year? Wright cost almost twice as much and took time to settle. We were shit for 20 years. £2m isn’t a big fee for the quality of player we’re trying to recruit.

Think people should be careful what they wish for saying we should go out to focus on the league. Imagine if we lost on Tuesday and then again on Friday, morale would be in the toilet and fans raging.

Both were poor, but at least Torp can improve. Allen is tiny, slow and seemingly unable to do anything other than play the safest pass. Having him anchoring our midfield was a joke.

Tell you what we certainly shouldn’t be getting “hyped” after that load of bollocks today. We probably need to create an actual chance before we think about challenging for the top few places in the league.
