the transfer window is irrelevant in a way. he’s still got a year left on his current contract but the longer negotiations stall the likelihood of him being here come august is smaller. sooner we can get this resolved the better for all parties
yeah if they were no other options. once prem teams start sniffing. He can earn upwards of 20k a week with signing on fee. the club are playing a very dangerous game on this one
I did ask how much is he currently on. around 13k plus add on’s. So for an extra 7k a week it doesn’t make sense why the club don’t offer what he wants.
the issue for me, if the club don’t budge on 16k and prem teams are making enquires, he along with the club have a decision to make. Does he stay one more year and hope we get promoted or do the club try and cash in on him.
having to pay more? im not in the box. Not my cup of tea but many people I know are.
If they sell all the boxes then great, I’ll look silly. Only time will tell
after seeing the post about the golf membership. asked for an update
City will only offer 16k a week. Gus wants 20k. Club have said they won’t budge on the 16. Clubs are now coming in for him including Prem
so you are now comparing the football club to the O2? Completely different entity.
I find it laughable that many on here are happy that corporate fans are being priced out and ousted after being loyal customers for years for the good and certainly bad times (most all had boxes at St Andrews)...
that is a shocking sweeping statement. many of the boxes were taken by local business who supported this club through thick and thin. the fact you think all these new businesses will come now and spend £25,000 is very naive.
but then that would look stupid on the clubs part. From having every box sold to potentially half being vacant is a dangerous game to play and trying to sell on a game by game basis. also the money made by bar sales could be impacted too.
But isn’t that what we’re talking about here? No one mentioned atmosphere. We’re talking about the potential of many boxes being vacant and the club losing out in the long term
thats a strange take. It’s not an auction. that would be very amateurish if the club went down the route of dropping prices if they don’t sell out once the season starts
why is it? Many of the the customers speak regularly to the corporate team. They have built great connections. it wouldn’t have taken long to propose prices to see what the feedback would be.
You’re not wrong, they can now go for the cheaper option but the issue is, Will there be the uptake to take on all these vacant boxes.. that’s the potential issue
I know many in the same boat as you. Several businesses who have for many years bought a box. They have today sent emails to Suzette stating their disappointment in the price hike with no consultation. A lot of businesses are struggling at the minute and the luxury of a box up the city will now...
