If he can't play the roles we need how did he play over 50% of our minutes before leaving? No one is saying that, in a vacuum it's a good deal for us. But given how light we are in midfield we needed a body in just to play some minutes.

We have 5 senior central midfielders. That's incredibly thin. On any given matchday you're going to want 4 in the squad at a minimum. One injury (Sheaf..) and we're immediately at that limit. There's very little opportunity to rest players or take out underperforming players. And it's only...
