I happen to agree with you on the kids/ young adult pricing, but I don't believe that is the sole reason for Sunderland not selling 5k this time round.

Point I'm trying to make is if they had won their first 3 games they would sell out the whole 5k or whatever they were allocated. Its easy to use a boycott as an excuse for not supporting your team if you're disatisfied with their on field performances.

Sunderland fans are as fickle as any other fans. Now they have won a game I expect a few more might be tempted to go, and I would expect there to be at least 2.5k of them. Those that don't come will be put off as much by their poor record at Cov and an expectation that they won't win, as well as...

...... but it is meaningful because if we have possession the opposition don't, meaning they can't build up a head of steam. Controlling the ball also keeps the home crowd quiet, particularly at a place like Swansea where they have been used to dominating possession.
