Match Thread Coventry City v Real Betis (Friendly) - 30th July - 7PM

That was an encouraging pre-season game. Rushworth looks really good, along with our midfield.

They pay less direct tax, but they do have to buy medical insurance, etc, which currently is covered by government in the UK. This could change here as Farage wants us to change to a health insurance system rather than government funded NHS

Hi Saddle, I’ve needed an ablation and it’s worked really well. I don’t need bisoporols or any other medication…. So in short YES

    Monaco

Early on in the first half, I thought we moved the ball well and looked good, but ultimately ineffective in creating any chances. It was very noticeable the difference in speed and power of the Monaco players in comparison to some of ours. My main concern was being susceptible to a fast...

Well that was humbling. Similar to last season.....teams soak up pressure and counter attack at speed and we can't cope.

Some good play through midfield at times. Wilson had no chance with either goal. Thomas could have done better for first. KKH got beaten for second. Grimes, Sheaf, Rudoni & JDS did well. Brau looked a bit off the pace. Tats struggled to beat his man.

VPN working well. I'm hoping for a better camera position for the match, but think I'll be disappointed.

If the initial reported fee of 63.5m euros is correct. Then my calculations project that the club will receive £3.87m now with the possibility of another £0.87 m from add a ns.

Transfer Rumour 25/26 Summer Transfer Window

The exchange rate in 2016 before the EU referendum was 1.3649 to £1. Post 2016 referendum was 1.1069. Which made every CCFC transfer from an EU country significantly more expensive. The rate of 2008 that you quote is related to the banking crisis initiated by the "casino banking" activities...

    Viktor Moving on

One of the main differences with this transfer in comparison to Vik leaving us is that he only had one year left on his contract here. Even if he doesn’t leave Sporting in this transfer window he’ll still be worth some transfer fee in the future. …. Albeit much reduced! Surely, with only 6m...

Agree. Additionally, there are risks on Arsenals side of this negotiation. If the reported figures regarding the terms Sporting are asking are correct and the difference is 5m Euro. Are they really going to pass on signing a centre forward that they desperately need, whilst splashing millions...

Transfer Rumour 25/26 Summer Transfer Window

A couple of things I’ve considered regarding our current situation: 1. The club did well to exploit Villas needs to raise funds for FFP and I think have committed funds from the future realisation of Viks move. 2. DK has turned a £15m loan into shares, which is a significant commitment and...
