For me he’s looked very good when he’s picked the ball up in deeper positions. I mean he’s not looked terrible by any means. I’ve been more disappointed in EMC but like Asante, we’re only 3/4 games in. I’m hopeful for them both.

I’m hoping he’s just finding his feet in this league. Seen glimpses from him and he has played out of position for the most part. Strangely though he probably had his worst game vs Stoke when he was playing on the left. Like you say, he’s not looked great thus far.

It could be but he’s 36. He might well be their answer to when we played Steve Walsh against them.

It was. I think we’re all agreeing he got worse. I’d agree with FP, and say he was one of our best players when we came up and in that first season. I wouldn’t be surprised if his career is over.
