We missed Thomas presence badly. Lati is no Thomas. Thomas is brilliant in the air and we looked dodgy as hell at the back defending crosses and their long throw. Had 2/3 chances to clear for their first goal. Really poor.

I think the younger players we have signed are big characters. Lats/Thomas/Kitching/MVE and Binks Collins/Haji/Simms/Sheaf seem quite not sure about Sheaf as a vocal club captain. There is also no stand out Skipper in the team other than Lats possibly.

I think with Godden it become a confidence thing...huge pressure on him ...he definately has the ability to be top end League 1 striker in the right team imo. He's a superb finisher on his day his 2 goals vs Oxford showcased that.

Those were the good old days of watching Fa Cup final build up..they used to have cameras on team bus. Was really built up to be a big occasion. These days so much choice on TV you wouldn't even know if you missed a big game.
