i get your point certainly but for 6m you are better off keeping the best midfielder in the league or one of who is on a modest contract compared to others and go for top 6. He cost us 1.4m and had 3 good seasons and would be 4 seasons for a bargain.

Yeah agreed but it’s not 6m is it. If it is and I’m wrong I would genuinely keep him for the last season.

If Hamer goes then I don’t but this we need 2-3 to replace him. The squad is shaping up nicely and if Hamer goes we just need a like for like replacement. If that means 5m on a player then so be it. Gus should fetch 10-12m. 15m is a bit fanciful but hope I’m wrong

Let’s face it for 4-5m you can get a fantastic midfielder to replace Hamer. Especially if we get 12m in which I would take. The problem is he won’t be Hamer who was the best statistically in the division last season and universally adored by cov fans.

Personally, if offered less than 10m I would swallow the cost and keep him as he is that good and key to the team. If over 10m then I would sell as it’s too good for a player with 10 months left.
