The trend that has started of using players' given names rather than surnames is annoying. Though, of course it hardly hurts anyone and people's personal posting style is their own concern. It still annoys me, though.

If you say so, but most I saw was reasoned doubt. Most of the frustration I saw (and voiced) was aimed at the players. Who, in fairness, were probably utterly demoralised over having Collins behind them.

Admit I was wrong? I didn't say any of those things, and didn't lay any of the blame for the ropey early performances on him at all. I don't think anyone sensible did. I said that I had my doubts he'd be a good appointment prior to him arriving, and I'll be very happy to be proved wrong on...

There wasn't hate, just question marks over whether he'd be a good appointment, which were reasonable. He's looking good so far, though. Long may it continue.
