    Your Portfolio

Can’t remember who but a SBT poster basically moved most/all of their investments into gold a year or two back, fair fuckin play !

    Championship thread 24/25!

My comment was more that they looked very good against us when I haven’t seen them look great in plenty of their other games. Think I said at the time, I thought kitching last minute drop out, which probably also meant Bidwell in for DaSilva, was huge. Don’t disagree that they seem to cause us...

    Championship thread 24/25!

They over performed against us and we under performed. The teams at the bottom are fighting for their lives, would’ve preferred us to be playing a few mid table/better teams but at least they’ll come at us as all will be at home and needing to have a go

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

To be fair 0.5% for the month would 6% pa if annualised. The problem at the moment is it’s the bond yields increasing cost of borrowing meaning less money to spend (unless you tax more….or print more/debase currency)….and these are being impacted by tariff/global mess I agree though it doesn’t...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

In all the global madness and creaking financial system, some better news… UK economy rebounds with 0.5% growth in February https://www.thetimes.com/article/141aa969-1f17-4908-84e9-6958f282fd06?shareToken=7c689e3201b493a4baac925169f7e484 Ps just hoping this is based on accurate figures from...

Trump is my favourite comedian of the year already

Markets hate uncertainty and Trump is so erratic they’re reacting accordingly. I’d imagine things ‘should’ settle down as soon as he declares some trade deal ‘wins’, but they need to sort something out with China for both their sakes….problem is things might start getting out of control before...

    Jack Rudoni

Agree with player if the season comments. Quality player and works hard. Poor delivery last night…until the moment of magic

Match Thread Coventry City - Portsmouth FC Match Thread - Wednesday 9th Apr

Agree, he’s got that in him and a great leap when challenging for high balls. When Wrights on form and involved he’s a top top player in this league Unfortunately he was pretty ineffective last night but so were many. I still personally think simms will be better down the middle against...

Match Thread Coventry City - Burnley FC Match Thread - Saturday 5th Apr

Agreed. Beat Sunderland comfortably with our best performance of our season, beaten by Sheff Utd away (expected) and unfortunate to lose against Burnley + ref inc a couple of poor goals conceded Three points, deserved four. Issue for me is purely the Dovin injury which I think might scupper...

I think you might be right if the rumours of Bessent being unhappy are true

Trump is my favourite comedian of the year already

He’s far from rational but if you listen to Bessent there is possibly some method to the tariff madness. I think Trumps gone further than maybe Bessent wanted/ expected though. Not sure about the tax cut side at the moment as I haven’t seen anything specific formulated although expect him to...

Trump is my favourite comedian of the year already

Yeah, it’s complex ! I think there’s a lot more to it than meets the eye with these initial tariffs Others comments about Carlson miss the point a bit. Unfortunately due to polarised politics you don’t get Republicans in as many detailed chats on say CNN like you wouldn’t get Dems do many...

‘Interesting’ times. Will let all the tariff stuff play out before passing judgement. There is no doubt that one of the aims is to take some heat out the economy short term and get 10 year yields down (US gov borrowing costs - there’s around 9trn to refinance this year as well as reducing...

Match Thread Coventry City - Burnley FC Match Thread - Saturday 5th Apr

Exactly. Kitching is going to head that back to him then realises Collins still running and is now out the area. Once Collins committed to coming that far out of his goal he’s got to deal with it. Just looks low on confidence and indecisive

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Yeah, it’s not the best written article. I’m taking it as a further 650bn over next three year (ever the optimist) but paragraph later in article makes it less clear. Surprised this hasn’t moved the dial on productivity/ investment figures, hopefully it will at some point

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Not much good economic news around these days but this could really help provide a boost. Hope the government jumps on the opportunity and tries to make this an attractive option for companies with their industrial strategy later this year UK companies set to spend $650bn bringing their...

    Sheff Utd ratings

They are, with a far bigger budget. I still think an on form City with Kitching and Rudoni playing (maybe with Simms down middle) gives them a far better game last night
