Really not a fan of this two man midfield we’ve started using. Hopefully Eccles is fit enough for 30-35 mins.

Thought MVE, BTA, Thomas and Kitching were very good. Rushworth good with his hands, less so with his feet. Everyone else played well enough. Wright very good first 15 but looked dead afterwards.

Goals settled us. We were much better for the last 30 minutes and great to get another 3 points on the board.

Lampard got the set-up wrong imo. Playing 4 up front won’t work against teams not named Sheffield Wednesday. They’re winning every long ball and heading away every cross. Need to have a rejig at HT and start trying to play some football. Allen on for EMC for me.

Their defence is playing well. Number 12 especially is dealing with Mason Clark well. We’re winning very little in the air.

Feels quite risky to go that attacking when we’re playing a team not called Sheffield Wednesday. Even against Sheffield Wednesday we didn’t have much control in midfield.

I don’t get why people talk as if we’d have won if not for the Dabo pen. Luton still had to miss and we’d have had to score another for us to win!

Bassette has shown so little to be rated as highly as he is by some. His performances towards the end of the season were unbelievably bad. Feel like people are going purely off one game vs Spurs.

We just have to enjoy it. We will inevitably lose games this season and have a sticky patch. We may also not have the legs to keep up with autos contention but we’re clearly a very good team for this level and are going to have a great season.

If we are to be auto contenders this season then Ipswich and Leicester are the two teams I’d expect to be our biggest rivals.

If we’re going to lose one Portsmouth away midweek feels like the one it would be, although imagine the narrative if we’re still unbeaten before we go away to Mark Robins’ Stoke… 11 points (3 wins, 2 draws and a loss) keeps us at 2ppg so that or more would be excellent in my book.

Pretty sure we’ve scored more goals away from home than anyone else has managed in total. 16 away goals vs the 15 total of Bristol City.

The table looks like something out of FIFA or Football Manager when you’ve got cheats on. +20 goal difference after 9 games is obscene.

They’re doing pretty well at the moment considering their situation. Unbeaten in three and should have won on Tuesday. We should have too much for them but could be a potential banana skin.
