Start with his playing career. Arguably one of the best strikers of all time and played at the top, listening to people from the top and being around the top, in numerous countries. Now we all know this doesn't translate into good coaching/management but it always holds a good starting point...
Some great opinions on here, most of them are completely bonkers. But surely we should be wanking all day and night even thinking that the current England caretaker manager is possibly going to be our next manager. What an absolute moment for the club.
For anything good he said, he ruined it when he was laughing saying he'd be off if we got relegated. Time and a place for jokes and last night wasn't one of them.
Trying to ignore all of the he said/she said stuff from last night, this is what I've thought about the most. There's no way he can bring in a Matt Bloomfield or someone similar now. It needs to be a Lampard, Carsley or someone like that.
When you think about it, they've been probably waiting to do this since Luton. If that last minute winner hadn't have gone in, it would have been then. If we didn't win at Boro, it would have been then. Wasn't made off the back of last night I'm sure.
