His lack of pace is a real worry but can remember quite a few occasions where he has come in and done a very good job. People saying he’s an average championship player at best need to remind themselves what league we are in and also be thankful we have good backup.

Would think Antti Niemi would get in ahead of Rushworth to be fair.

The only reason Brighton didn’t sell him for £5.5 million is because they knew that after one good season in the championship, he would be worth at least double. We’ve rinsed them once and they’re not letting it happen again.

I think he should have used the time to get his shoulder sorted. A few times this season and towards the end of last he has gone down holding it, can’t be comfortable running with all that support on.
