Why would we be an attractive proposition if we finished 15th? Attendances would dip, we’d likely lose a few key players and there would be little evidence of us making top 6 next season.

Half season loan deals won't be costing us much in the grand scheme of things, and I think we are a much more attractive proposition for potential players with a 9th place finish vs 15th. I also imagine that Lampard was assured he'd have the opportunity to bring at least a few players in in Jan.
