I like Sheaf but I think he would've benefitted from some time out the team, he's not played well recently. But dropping an established captain as a new manager is a bit of a no no so I can se why Lampard didn't do it. Not turning on him at all.
One of the main reasons I wanted Lampard was his fame, gravitas and Chelsea connections to attract players to the club. If that’s not happening why did we bother!

If you think a 3 month caretaker stint offers much insight on how a manager will perform in a permanent role I don’t know what to say.
Because it was 11 games with a squad who had nothing to play for and who knew he wouldn’t be there any longer.
Like having a supply teacher at school, no one is going to bother trying.
