Yeah good point and correct. I do still feel, at times, he’s a bit erratic and a headless chicken but when he’s on it, he’s unplayable. Shame to lose him really and if it is around 6.5M, we’ve had our pants down in some respects.

My opinion, in today’s crazy market rates, 6.5M is poor.

Love MVE but he definately gets caught out of position often and uses pace to recover.

Yeah but generally from last season, and shades of both games, we have high possession stats and low ‘shots on goal’ I’m optimistic we’ll be fine but I am concerned we play a lot of ‘middle of the park’ possession and often turn back then trying to get in and behind. We’ve seen games with 70%...

Yeah and we still have soft goal mistakes in us and have all the possession and do very little with it. We’re like a pack of Lions with no teeth or nails.

I always say to take friendlies for what they are but based on the two games so far, I’m concerned come the league, well still have the ‘concede soft goal’ thing in us and we still play tippy tappy possession football with very little intent. Hope I’m wrong come the league games.
