    Palmer fee.

He was awful today. He never played that badly for us

    The new signings so far

EMC - Seems to be getting better. Lots of potential Raphael - Highly regarded. Hope to see him soon. Binks - Like him, but prefer Kitching, He should be looked at for LB or DM for me. Technically superb BTA - I think he's a half decent player, but we have better Norman - Real talent. Ease him in...

Video West Bromwich Albion v Coventry City Highlights

How did we not score from 3 or 4 last night. Must have had up to 6 big chances. In particular: Bassette turning back on his left foot (1st Half) - WTF Torp Header / Rudoni silence (2nd Half) Sheaf header (2nd Half) Apart from the goals, did WBA have any other chances. ( their first was a...

    Lati

Lati is a DM for me. He played there for us at Leeds (a) last season, and Sunderland this season. We didn't lose either. Jamaica play him at DM - Regular starter. Absolutely not a CB in a 4 man defence (or RB). At best, a 3rd Centre Back in a back 5 if needed. Postionally, he's sound...

I've always liked Simms. Even when he wasn’t scoring early last season, you could see signs of a top player. Strong and pacey. Good finisher. We said last season he needs a run of games. Simms is a player that needs to get into a rhythm to find his best form. He finally got that and scored...

. WBA got a huge slice of luck for the 1st. Thought we defended OK overall, but their 2nd was criminal. Lati should only play CB in a 3, or at DM. Kitching back on Saturday pleae We created 5 golden opportunities. Bassette X 2 (should of scored both) Sheaf header Torp header Bidwell’s shot was...

Think we need to be positive in this one. WBA will test our defence far more than Millwall did. Certainly don't want to be conceding early, as The Baggies don't give up much, and will be happy to sit on a 1-0 and pick us off later in the game.

    Liam Kitching

To be fair, Lampard has yet to start Dovin, Allen or Thomas Asante yet either. CBs are rarely brought on as subs unless there's an injury or a swtich of shape. If he doesn't start at West Brom or against Hull on Sat it might be a sign all is not well.

    Liam Kitching

When Kitching broke into the team last season, he was integral in our push up the table. He was the kind of centre back we'd been calling out for. Nasty and physical. Like most of the team, his form plummetted after the Wolves cup game. He's had a few starts this season, and has been (IMO) no...

Match Thread Millwall FC - Coventry City Match Thread - Saturday 7th Dec

Thought we were good today. Defence has clearly been worked on. Did Collins have a shot to save? Going forward, improved 2nd half., but, far from our best. Lampard found a way to win the game. That’s the best Millwall team we’ve played for a few years.

Frank is going into a cauldron tomorrow, what with his West Ham & Chelsea connections. We need to start well and nullify the crowd. Millwall will be pumping the ball into our box, and looking for freekicks anywhere in the final third, to get a set piece. I’m cautiously optimistic though.

    Transfer Rumour Robins to Hull

Have to say I was a little gutted when Chaplin went. Obviously this led to the Godden signing (who was immense) but I would of liked them both. We beat Southend on the opening game (before Godden came in) and our forward options were Biamou, Hiwuula & Bakayoko! Robins worked wonders with...

    Victor Torp

Sheaf / Eccles - Rudoni Torp That should be our midfield, in the 4-3-3 formation. Allow Torp to get forward, and Rudoni as the more attacking of the CMs. if MVE's form continues, I wouldn't be against having a look at Eccles there. I think he'd be a better RB than RWB.
  17. Offhegoes

    Ellis Simms

If Simms had started against Cardiff, we win the game. They had 10 behind the ball for most of the game when we had possession. At least if you get the ball into the box more, Simms is going to cause problems, due to his sheer size. We've looked good at home against...Oxford, Luton, Blackburn...

    Palmer leaving

I liked Palmer. He was superb against Wolves last season, and even in his worst performances, he'd make a chance. However, it was clear he was a luxury player, and wouldn't do the defensive work needed. If he was scoring bags of goals, and had double digit assists you could forgive that, but...

Dovin has to come back. Collins may be good with the ball at his feet (not a whole lot better than Dovin though), but how many saves does this guy actually make? Seems the majority of on target shots go in when he's playing. Kitching must start. The most physical of our CBs. Binks gets...
