Is that true, or did circumstances allow for us to improve over the course of a season? If we look solely at our season(s) since back in the Championship. 20/21 - We started playing a lot better when Matty James came into the team. 21/22 - Actually played worse 2nd half of the season...

Very true, with arguably two of the best players in the division, do we have that in our arsenal now?

Match Thread Sunderland - Coventry City Match Thread - Saturday 9th Nov

I thought we came flying out the traps first half, they then got a foot hold in the game and while both their goals could’ve been defended better they took both with great quality. Second half it was mostly one way traffic, got ourselves back into at 2-2 until Haji went off and it took the wind...

I wonder if the new Head Coach will be in place by Monday in time for the forum 🤔

Yeah you’re right there AFC. Not enviable of his position as owner that’s for sure.

Granted that’s a major reason why it has never happened I imagine.

Right who's the next manager then?

Pre season was really positive, a lot of people were gushing after the Everton game. I don’t believe that there would have been a solution this time in any case unfortunately, I guess we will never know now.

Right who's the next manager then?

We shouldn’t be putting ourselves in that position Otis, consistently starting every season poorly. Only so many times will things start to click after a certain period or things change that help change the tide.

Some of you older lot on here maybe better placed to remember or answer this question, but can anyone remember an instance where an owner has publicly come out in front of fans after a manager has been sacked, to face the fans and answer questions on it, in a forum environment? Or is this a...

Right who's the next manager then?

Yeah that's all well and sound Deity, but who do you want as the next manager :ROFLMAO:

Right who's the next manager then?

Don't know HDW. It was something a friend mentioned to me recently and again yesterday, no *reason to* doubt it's validity, but I've really not asked to much about it.

Right who's the next manager then?

Would make a lot of sense. FL has pedigree of being a good player, he's worked in the Championship and Premier League, he was good for the development of younger players, as he's not attached to a Club he'd be free to sign for no compensation and could start immediately. I said on here...

Right who's the next manager then?

You'd like to hope (or at this point pray) that the new Head Coach will be confirmed very quickly, International Break on the horizon, plenty of time to get their ideas across if they are appointed quickly and work with a large number of the group. Ideally we don't want this dragging on too long.

I would ask, whilst understanding that recent results have not been up to the levels expected of fans and the club, however by your own admission we had a “fantastic manager at the helm of this club” who in 2023 you gave a new four year deal too. What has changed to enable you to make this...

    Mark Robins managing another team

It’s happened before when he came back to the Arena with Scunthorpe after his first spell and it was weird that night. It’ll be strange to see him in the opposite dugout, but that’s all it will be. Fans need to put their support behind whoever the next manager/head coach will be.

OFFICIAL: Mark Robins has been sacked

The only people responsible for not getting results on the pitch are the players, the coaching staff and recruitment team. Unfortunately in football managers have always taken the punishment, players get away with it a lot more.

Right who's the next manager then?

I totally agree with you FF, points in your post I’ve argued myself on here, but I do see that potential candidates looking at City from the outside could be put off by how MR has been treated. Gyokeres and Hamer got videos to the fans and especially designed images by the club to thank them...

Right who's the next manager then?

To those saying it is an attractive opportunity to join, yes it will be, but to balance that, some may be put off by the fact that seems to be little loyalty shown to one of the best managers in our history and the expectation coming in. Whoever comes in will need to be confident of hitting the...
