Wasn't really Robins who froze him out in fairness. Started 25 out of 35 in 23/24 & then 5 out of 13 under Robins last season. It was after that he only started 1 of the next 12.

It's not an unreasonable point given the gulf between the parachute payment clubs & the rest. Sheffield United would have needed to have 25 points deducted to miss out on the top 6.
