It's no thanks from me anyway. I don't care what he did last season. Players of his age decline rapidly, especially somebody like him who built his career on pace.
I'm with mucca on Haji Wright being central striker. Even though he is not at it fitness wise, he offered far more in his time on the pitch that BTA did.
Just watching the replay and we were alright TBF, some nice football just not quite getting the final ball / shot right. A few games further in and Rudi chops the one Hughes blocked in the first half on to his left and scores.
Sunderland would have been out had Wright converted a header from a cross in the last minute. Both of our goals across the two games came from crosses.
