    R.I.P. Martin Peters

Peacefully passed away this morning. A classy midfielder who scored the 1st England goal in the 1966 world cup final. Matured into a silky player who almost single handedly perfected the knack of making late runs into the penalty area to score vital goals for his clubs and country. RIP.

    Kean / Duncan Ferguson

As Hawksby and Jacob's have described a bad game in the past, not just a dog of a game but a dog with fleas of a game....

    Rumour from the boardroom

    Oh noooo.....not this story again....

    New Labour Leader

Clive Lewis is my MP in Norwich South and comes over as a good prospect sometime in the future but not now. A friend of mine is a Labour party worker and reckons he is an 'arrogant bastard'... However, that's a term that applies to many an MP & not just Mr. Lewis. What will count against him in...

    Sunderland

Now equalised which bumped us up to 5th. Not often you'll hear me wanting a Blunderland win but today is one of those days.

    General Election 2019 thread

My long term prediction ? Boris to become royally unpopular in a few years time for breaking pre-election promises. He then gets into an internal leadership election where Jacob Rees-Mogg takes over. Then God help us all.... He even looks like Heinrich Himmler if you put a moustache on him.

    Two Tone 3rd Kit.

Now had an email to say the two shirts I ordered are in the post. Expect to receive them by the weekend.

    Two Tone 3rd Kit.

Just managed to order one for me and one for my son. I'm hoping I dont need to join Slimming World to get into my large size.

    Two Tone 3rd Kit.

Jeeeezzzz..... I really want one but that's taking the piss out of genuine supporters.
  10. The Great Eastern

    Two Tone 3rd Kit.

Apologies if this has been covered elsewhere but does anybody know of the availability of the fabulous 3rd kit ? I've checked the official CCFC site and utterly no mention of the adult shirts.

    Darren Huckerby - journeyman?

As far as I know, Hucks is still playing but in an East Anglian Veterans league. Prior to that, he was playing Norfolk Sunday league football. One of those players who loves playing and doesnt mind at what level he plays at !

    RIP Bob Willis

I was on holiday abroad when England won THAT test at Headingly in 1981 thanks to Bob taking 8 second innings wickets. The first I knew of the victory was in buying an English newspaper that was only available a day late (no internet in those days) Utterly astonished at what had happened given...

Match Thread Coventry City vs. Ipswich Town Match Thread - Sunday 1st Dec

Not sure how you work that one out. BBC were always going to give priority to League versus non-League games. We got sufficient coverage IMHO.

    U23 v Colchester

Give the bloke a chance Dom. I'd imagine a token role for Allen this weekend as a sub. No point pushing him too hard in what ought to be a fiercely competitive game.

Back at the Ricoh in January

You clearly didn't experience Chelsea coming to HR in the 70s. A sea of dark blue and white scarfs accompanied by polished heads filled the West End terrace by 2pm on a Saturday. Whoa betide any Cov fans vocally supporting the Sky Blues as they were swiftly dealt with. West Ham were equally bad...

    3rd Kit

Don't know if this has already been said but the guy doing the talk over on the EFL prog on Quest Sat. night, said the 'competition' for kit of the year was already over with the introduction of the Cov City 2 Tone kit !

    More Wasps BS?

They certainly used to in the past. Away fans are now segregated to the right of the goal at the end to the right of the tv cameras. Whether Fulham still allow a mixture in that end, I really don't know. Wouldn't be too sharp an idea if Millwall were the visitors.

    Points from losing positions

If Robins gives them a half-time bollocking nearly every game, why can't he stick the boot in before the start of the game ? We'd probably give somebody a proper hiding rather than losing points to the likes of Tranmere etc. However, pleased with 4th place so far.
