Match Thread Coventry City - Millwall FC Match Thread - Sunday 29th Dec

Functional performance missing any semblance of magic. Maybe sky blue glasses, but with EMC we win that easily. But a clean sheet, a game we controlled after 10 minutes through to the final whistle, and another game we didn't lose.

Bit early to pronounce him as the messiah, old chum.

    Mason-Clark Appreciation Thread

His confidence is higher. Makes all the difference as an attacking player. He now knows he can skin Championship players, so he tries to do it more. Pretty confident he's going to be a star player for us soon.

Match Thread West Bromwich Albion - Coventry City Match Thread - Wednesday 11th Dec

I know he's been poor this season, but I want to see Simms on now. That focal point may be what we need.

I know this has been done to death, but MVE really needs a break.

What a great bit of play by EMC. Must have read the forum and got annoyed.

Think Lampard will say we haven't move the ball fast enough again. Very hesitant when we get to the halfway line.

    Frank’s First Block of Five

Pretty sure it was Aidy Boothroyd who said 1.6 gets you play-offs, 2 gets you automatics. It's a good rule of thumb.

Match Thread Millwall FC - Coventry City Match Thread - Saturday 7th Dec

Haven't been on here so don't know the general feeling, but the players fought like lions towards the end. That little bit of extra bite and desire made all the difference.

    Football Manager

I've recently started the Pentagon challenge - start unemployed with no badges and have to win the Champions League (or equivalent) in five different continents. I've owned every CM and all but one FM since 92/93, and other than the italia version this is the first time I've managed abroad. It's...

    performance levels

If they've been poorly coached since the summer, then it'll take a while to fix that - repetition creates habit, so they need to unlearn some of the ineffective stuff and have time to learn the new bits. Don't think the players are bad, don't even think they lack spirit, but they do lack the...

    Defence

Not sure the defence on its own is the problem. When we turn the ball over during one of our tippy-tappy attacks, our defensive-type midfielders are nowhere to be seen, so the opponents just get to run directly at our defenders who can't handle it. Add to that that all XI shit themselves against...

    Red Dead Redemption 2

Day Gone was far better than the reviews suggested. One of the most enjoyable games I've played over the past few years.

    Red Dead Redemption 2

I'd go onto Metacritic, filter by top rated PS4 games, and go down the list until I see something that piques your interest - check user reviews too, but if you find something with both good overall critic and overall user reviews it's more than likely decent.

Match Thread Supporter's Meeting with Doug King Match Thread

As much as I wanted to pelt Doug with rotten tomatoes, he came across rather well. If Doug is being 100% truthful that it was MR who changed everything, then he doesn't really have anyone else to blame for what is clear underachievement.

Take a point after the first half. 8 points off the play-offs.

Match Thread Sunderland - Coventry City Match Thread - Saturday 9th Nov

They don't even have baths or showers in Sunderland, how on earth do you think they're modern enough to have stretchers?
