The abuse thing is overstated. We had the highest kids matchday prices in the league last season for cat A games pre DK. This isn't a sudden change that Doug is looking to fix.
Such a depressing take really that stinks of the modern game and makes me worry about its future.
And there are...
Not sure what you are getting at. We're talking matchday pricing, for home and away fans. There are 11,000 unsold seats for every game. For Boro only 5000 of those were sold. This is at cat B pricing. Some cat A games will be lower than that. You're making out there is massive demand and pricing...
It's got nothing to do with it, the price increases from last season are proportionate to the adult increases. Our cat A kids prices were the highest in the league last season too.
This has absolutely fuck all to do with abuse of the system. How do all other clubs cope? Why are we always the outlier?
For reference, our £25 price for kids, regardless of age, is the most expensive in the league. By a mile.
Sunderland fans have rightly kicked off about this today. They need...

You do realise that had we been promoted we'd still have Gus and Vic and would have strengthened massively? McFadz and Godden wouldn't even have been playing in all probability. The idea that a promoted team isn't ready for promotion makes no sense. It's a bit of an insult to MR and AV to...
Was still loads outside 5 mins after game had started. A group of us arrived around 11.55 and went to different queues, some of us made it in, others didn't.
No issues last season. We had complete sell outs against Blues and Boro and no problems. I think it is fair to assume it would be ok...
Last season they opened far more entry points, you could enter via the exit gates, not sure why they have stopped that. This, coupled with it taking longer for people to scan tickets was the reason I guess. Should be a one off.
Well that was excellent. Cheered me up no end. Important we pick up points while the new players bed in and we add one or two more. Couldn't have asked for any more today, some excellent individual performances.
Was hoping to see Simms and Wright. It's a £14m strikeforce. Calls of 'Wright is not fit' no doubt, but not buying that tbh.
Aside from that, pretty much what I was expecting.
He does care though, as did Vic, but it is more on a human level than a professional one for sure. I imagine there will have been some emotional goodbyes.
Not sure I understand why so many are predicting that we'll go long tomorrow. There is nothing to suggest this is the case, the summer recruitment and pre-season games do not point to this at all.
We got the ball forward quickly against Leicester, but I think that was more about the opposition...
No, £10m is the fee, that would be guaranteed, but you'd never get that up front, it would be phased. Add ons are add ons, you may never receive those.
I'm only repeating what I've seen on twitter, think it may have originated from Stuart Linnell.
It's not a computer game. You don't replace somebody as influential as this easily. It will take us a good while to adjust and who knows, the replacement(s) may not work out, wouldn't be the first time.
Hopefully we get ourselves over the line tomorrow and can stay in touch, but things have...
