Match Thread Coventry City - Blackburn Rovers Match Thread - Saturday 18th Oct

Dasilva played 6 minutes in Cardiff on Monday. If he's leggy come Saturday he may as well retire from professional football.

Match Thread Coventry City - Blackburn Rovers Match Thread - Saturday 18th Oct

So around 28.7K home tickets? Basing that on the 31.5K crowd for Middlesbrough last season less the 2.8K away alloc.

Pretty sure they haven't taken the full 2,800 allocation. I heard they were bringing around 1,500.

    Wright

He had 19 in 27 after the Bury game in mid-Feb. Then didn't score for 12 games before finally getting to 20 in the last game of the season. Basically mirrored our season perfectly.

    Home v Blackburn

Easy 30K crowd even with around only 1.5K Blackburn fans. Superb again.

Norwich? Did they fuck. They were incredibly lucky. It was a freak game which on another day we win 4/5-1.

Nuneaton Boro vs Coventry City 07/03/83

Willie Gibson played for my local team, Weymouth for a long while. Solid left back. Had no idea he'd played for Nuneaton. Cheers for that. Handed out the youth presentation trophies to my side, Weymouth Wizards, in 1988. I won player of the season and player's player. No-one likes a...

    What moment still haunts you?

Would it though? It would have made it 2-2 on aggregate. I don't think away goals was in play was it?

    What moment still haunts you?

I don't think there was any collusion, just incompetence.

    What moment still haunts you?

That is shit. You missed out on the best 90 seconds any football fan has ever experienced.

    What moment still haunts you?

How can you say that with authority? So much uncertainty around exactly when O'hare released the ball, how accurately the line was drawn, the frame rate especially with Wright and the dfender running in opposite directions. A millisecond either way and the picture looks so different. Enough...

    What moment still haunts you?

Its the obvious answer but I still reckon I think about the Torp 'goal' every day and feel gutted about how close to the perfect footballing moment we were until it was taken away from us.

    David Speedie's New Book

He was banging on about that in his CCFPA interview podcast. He came across quite well until he went all Matt Le Tissier at the end.

Really? I'd take a scrappy sub-par performance after the international break and 1-0.

    Home v Blackburn

I think it will be more. We had nigh on 28K home fans v Birmingham at £46 and on TV. We'll match that if not exceed it given the feelgood factor. Blackburn averaged 1.5K fans at away matches last season. I think it'll be pushing 30K.
