    League one 2019/20 season transfers

Their Chairman must have quite deep pockets. This must be about the 5th season on the trot they have spent quite a bit and don’t rely on free transfers. Doesn’t seem to help them too much as come the end of November they always seem to drop away despite leading the league.

    What radio station...

Planet Rock for me every time.

    James Vaughan

Would we be able to afford Eisa? Bristol paid about £1 million and I am sure would expect to recover at least half of that. Proven at league 2 but not above that standard, not that sure he will be any better than what we have given what we would have to pay.

    ESB1 Surgery

Sorry to hear this tale. Think you have had some good advice particularly off Eastwoodsdustman Covrock and SkyblueBazza. I have a fair amount of experience in this type of thing and would suggest not resigning at present, as I think you would have a strong legal case against the company that...

    Mcnulty Struggling at Hibs

Don’t disagree at all. There are a variety of ways of investing I guess. The most common one seems to be throw loads of money at the problem and hope you get lucky. Or the method we seem to be using at present is to try and improve slowly without quite as much risk. Since Robins has arrived he...

    Mcnulty Struggling at Hibs

Would have thought it was obvious. Championship teams receive about 10 times the money for tv than league one teams. Reading own the ground and rent it to a Rugby team. Even though they only average say 2000 more per game than we do that’s about another million just on tickets.

Generally thought we were poor everywhere today. Wouldn’t believe we had an outside chance of play offs. Saying that the pitch was awful. Burge 5 Sterling 4 Davies 5 Hyam 6 Mason 5 Thomas 5 Bright 5 Hiwula 5 Shipley 7 Kelly 6 Baka 5 Chaplin 4 Willis 4 Today one player came out with any...

    Fan Groups and Season Tickets

Leicester didn’t sell out when they won league one. My brother whose been a season ticket holder there for years used to say the then Walkers stadium was always half empty with the exception of the last couple of matches when the big numbers turned up to see them win the league. Fans will always...

    Fan Groups and Season Tickets

Great idea never seems to work at Coventry eg year v Accrington the club gave free tickets sway and in paper 28000 attended. In reality though it was more likely around 21000. Another reason that doesn’t bring in loads of money is 13000 paying 150 brings in nearly 2 mill. The club last year sold...

    Fan Groups and Season Tickets

Have you not looked at the ages of the people who attend the home matches? I would suggest the highest percentage of those attending is the 45-65 age group whereas away matches it is 16 -35 year olds.

    Jones > Thomas

To me Thomas is a far better player. His scoring record in league 1 is better than Jones. His work rate is far higher and defensively he is far better. True Jones was doing well last season but it was one league below. Before that there was always questions over his finishing and decisions. Both...

    This Season

Overall for me it has been a good season. Last summer I never thought we would be just off the play offs come May. At times we have played some excellent football which has also been entertaining. Yes we have missed so many opportunities and I wonder how much of the video would be the aThomas...

I must have watched a different match. First half thought we were very good second half mediocre. Between Burge and Thomas they cost us the game but over all I thought we were as good as Portsmouth and had Thomas put away his 2 clear chances we could have won it fairly easily.

    Sean Scannell

Many of us around where I sit we’re saying we ought to consider him for next season. Tbf nobody up front was going to have a good game for them second half they only had 10 men and the balls that were generally sent to him were launched by the keeper. At this moment in time we have to forget...

    Player ratings v Bradford

Really frustrating afternoon. Played some fantastic football yet somehow we think we have to walk it across the line. Burge 6 pulled off fantastic save after poor start. Sterling 6 just seems now to be on autopilot. Davies 7 good solid display but what a miss. Hyam 8 solid played some good balls...

What Sporting Event Would You Choose ?

The only trouble with the MCG is it is the 4th test by which time we have generally lost the series.

    Legals

From Sisu’s prospective they will look at the legal costs as a legitimate cost for the business which will reduce their tax liability. Therefore they are quite happy to keep throwing money at it as in reality the exchequer is paying a proportion of the costs every time they lose.

Reckon their goalkeeper kept him on the pitch with the obvious over reaction that he had been hit in the chest. Lino tells ref he didn’t touch him. Their centre back though got straight back to his feet which obviously helped, even if it was to go face to face with Baka.
