    Middlesbrough attendance

They do, generally take 3000+ to most away matches, given the distance they have to travel for most of their matches 1000 from us is pretty poor.

    Bidwell

I wouldn’t. To me Maatsen is better going forward. Bidwell’s positioning is better. We have been ripped to pieces on the left numerous times when Maatsen and JCS play together as the more experienced teams exploit that weakness. Last night both of them started to build a good relationship...

He got about 10-15 yards onto the pitch with a Steward chasing him and gave up. Fair play to the steward he was just put back into the crowd.

When we scored young lad must have been about 8 or 9 cane running in the pitch from around block 22 or 23.

    8 points better off

I think we’ve progressed quite a bit. This time last season we had taken 38.6% of points available. Presently we have 49.3% of points available. I accept we are on quite a downward trend but well ahead of last year presently. To put it in prospective if we carry on at the same percentage rate we...

    Andy Woolmer

Was always going to be that way with him. He averages about 3 booking a match hasn’t sent anyone off all season and only awarded 2 penalties. At times we have to be careful what we wish for. Think I’d sooner watch a match that finishes 11 v 11 and I can moan about not getting a penalty rather...

    What does this mean?

What it means is in general we have played most of the home teams that have the smallest crowds. If you read in in conjunction with the home team average attendance table you will see what I mean. In my opinion I don’t know why they even publish it as it’s meaningless and lazy. It can’t be that...

    Tavares

Michael Owen was 17 when he first played for Liverpool at a standard considerably above what we play. Wayne Rooney was 17. Robbie Fowler was 18. If you don’t give them a chance they can’t do it. We’re playing a striker who hasn’t scored in our last 15 games and the other only fir one has scored...

    Ratings vs QPR (h)

The lay off to Shipley was on a plate. You could see that by Shipley‘s reaction.

    QPR score

Certainly didn’t think they were much better. We could have easily been 2-0 up at half time. Second half they were better granted.

And that’s exactly why you can’t use successful passes as a credible stat solely of how someone performs. How many times did Rose pass to Hyam or JCS and back when there’s no one really challenging them. In comparison it is far easier to pass across the back line than where O’Hare plays.

    Defoe

He’s 39 hardly played in the last 12 months. Was a great striker but I just can’t see what I’m he would bring other than experience.

Teams you have an irrational liking for

It took years for Brighton to get the Amex, they had to ground share with Gillingham 70 miles away for 2 years. Brightons council went out of their way to make it difficult for them. I have several Brighton mates who see the similarities we have and have had when they were in this position 25...
